Landau Pontoons Quality

Landau Quality

The Certified Advantage

The NMMA Certified label on a Landau boat lets you know it was built to meet and often exceed, strict quality and safety standards established by the U.S. Coast Guard and the American Boat & Yacht Council. These standards include 31 categories covering electrical systems, powering, flotation, fuel systems and navigation lights. Certified boats must also pass rigorous annual inspections from independent third-party inspectors. As a result, U.S. Coast Guard statistics show NMMA Certified boats have been shown to be safer than non-certified boats.

Quality Assurance

Attention to detail and a craftsman approach are what truly define a Landau pontoon. From seam welding to QA checks, the people at Landau work together to ensure that quality is foremost at every point in the process.

Heavy-duty cross members are placed every 16 inches and joined to the pontoons with stainless steel bolts to deliver superior strength. In contrast to a welded aluminum joint, all Landau pontoons utilize this attachment process to ensure lasting durability.

The Landau "U" shaped pontoon formation provides a smooth ride with less drag than a round pontoon. This reduction in water "lap-over" translates into enhanced speed and fuel economy. Additionally, all Landau pontoons are foam-filled providing for an extra measure of safety.

We take pride in the fact that all Landau upholstery is designed and crafted in-house. As a customer, you can be assured that careful attention has been paid to every cut, stitch and tack mount on the boat you select. Our custom furniture is designed to withstand years of sun and water, just like you would expect.
